Can someone translate that?

Basically there is no name calling or blacklisting of other managers on the forum. I think this is a good idea.

I think it is a shame that the admins hide behind the scout report to avoid having to do some extra work.

So the liars and cheats, it is your game now.

if this issue is going to persist maybe an addition to the scouting.
at the start of the week an option to buy a block of 5 additional scouting reports at extra cost. even if its slightly inflated in price to put off constant purchases. also this would not roll over to the next week if all have not been used.

i don't post for a few days and this all kicks off.

Blacklist - id agree, but yes, the 'judge jury' issue would cause too many problems. Who would be the judge? Id have no sympathy for naming and shaming those involved as they shouldn't lie in the first place. For me lieing is cheating, end of

Mistakes happen it's human
I made a mistake in an Ad I placed.. too bad I couldnt edit it.

yup. An EDIT button and the ability for Mod edits would also clear this up. I don't think Peter, Buckeye, or I would be adverse to "correcting" some mistakes.

I think it is sad that the Grid-Iron community has been given a place where false and misleading ads can be created without clearly stated intolerance for those types of actions. I find is also sad that there has been no specific recourse defined for those people that are the victims of misleading and false advertising. What is worse to me is that the cost of validating the trustworthyness of any given ad is transfered to the buyer because they are told they must purchase a scouting report to verify the validity of an ad placed in a Grid-Iron sancioned ad forum. What may be the worst thing to me is that those that are asking to have some type of rules in place, or some type of recourse established have been equated to those that form "lynch mobs". I fear that these sentiments and policies established based on these sentiments are going to hinder the development of a community of trust and integrity that is vital to the survivability of a game such as this.

There shouldn't be an option to edit an ad or else the person accused could just edit the ad after the sale.

Agree to a point. How about a mod or admin run edit button for those that make an honest mistake and want to fix it before/in the middle of the sale? Those that are trying to cheat don't care, they'll do it anyway. But the ones who are trying to be honest but make a typing mistake should have some way IMO to fix that.

Yep, and for doublechecking the old ads need to be available too...this becomes a chain of needed things (dont know the common phrase for that).....

Too many dependencies IMO...
