I think most of managers are honest about their players' talent. I only met one who lied about players' talent and I would never buy a player for him. Even if he is 5 stars talent and only 1 000. Just for my rules That's how we should do against those bastards Don't buy their players and that's a good punishment.

Amen!

Would it be in bad taste to keep a list of people who lied about their players...the players they lied about and what talent level they advertised.

I'm pretty honest, but others...not so much.

Not bad taste at all. This needs to be done in my opinion. I'm pretty sure the list would be quite short if the list was made available in the ad section...

I'm absolutely honest in my ads too.
I did not start this thread to encourage to lying, but to give the warning to all managers that ADs can not be trusted.

This is an absolute NO GO for the public list! It is not on the community to judge, that is admins job.

false advertising is a no no in the big world so why should it be acceptable from managers in this game. if you dont trust the person then scout, not that you should have to take that approach but the safest option.

nothing wrong with naming and shaming the false advertisers like any other business who does this profits should fall from the claims.

Agree!
If lying is not against the rules, would it be if we make a black list in the forum - naming the liars?

Then why would you judge by saying "there's no go.." ?

Because I don't judge, and you should not do too!

Blacklisting is always the worst way to solve such problems. Is it that hard to understand? Who decides if an user gets blacklisted or not? What are the criteria for or against? Who unlists a manager? Why? Who can guarantee that only users are on blacklist that should be there?

Dont understand me wrong: of course I am against lying or cheating. But blacklisting is a dumb solution, and we need smart ones to solve problems like this.

You agree?

of course there are cons of a blck list. that i agree with. but there are pro's as well. for instance it would help new managers, that are not so accustomed with the game yet, to scout players, from falling for lies by those managers.
and i don't think you should just say that there is "No go" for such a list. i think this decision is up to the admins, not you and not me.
