pstimpel got this answer from admins regarding lies in the AD's section:

Admin wrote:

Lying about talent isn't against the rules. You have the scout report to check if he's telling the truth. That said we definitely don't like it and are against any kind of lying, but we don't see any "within the rules" way of dealing with these people.

This means that you should always scout players before you buy them.
You should look at any AD like it was a crappy car salesman trying to get you to buy a used car. Dont trust them, unless you have dealt with the manager before and know he/she can be trusted.Last edited on 2009-08-30 at 19:40

Pls change the name of the subject to something like "Lying is not against the actual rules - always scout"

Because lying IS NOT LEGAL! Never!

Have to add: I would appreciate some help. Since some days I post warnings inside ads section. But I am not allowed to post as often as I would need to do so. And I see a problem because not all people join the forum, so warnings inside the forums will not reach all possible victims of lying people. So if you not plan to sell guys, it would be great to support the small campaign by posting warnings in ads section.

I am not sure if I am allowed to do or not, but hopefully the admins will not act against this campaign.

Thx for your attention.

Well - i donot think that we have to waste our ads for this campaign - the admins should post

a) a generall note as a header, advising everybody to ask either trusty onwers and/or to scout

b) before placing a ad to get a note everytime (with a timer beetween 20 and 40 seconds) stating to be loyal to others and not do post any "possible misleading" ads

I got a quick answer to a 'cheat report' I made:

Admin wrote:

This is ethic an question and some managers are trying to skim others. Managers should be cautious and use scouts in the game to be sure about interesting players on market.

Lying is not against the rules OR Lying is legal ???

There is no difference, I just removed the double negation 'not against' to make it very clear.

But anyway I change will it.

Well - this is also an ethic question - and to be honest: in specific situations lying in germany does not interfere with the law and you cannot be charged for lying...

Lying is a thin line between right and wrong as some times telling a lie is good but when it come to GI any type of lie is WRONG

While i would support the idea of black listing owners that lie it wouldnt be right to have such a list for both sides of the fence :/

but theres a simple was to fix this problem Scout and/or make sure you trust the person your buying from i have assure you that any player i sell is useful to someone else just useless to me and my team and got no problem giving out any info needed to sell players

Would it be in bad taste to keep a list of people who lied about their players...the players they lied about and what talent level they advertised.

I'm pretty honest, but others...not so much.

BTW, lets not disparage the honorable & honest profession of used car saleman.

I think most of managers are honest about their players' talent. I only met one who lied about players' talent and I would never buy a player for him. Even if he is 5 stars talent and only 1 000. Just for my rules That's how we should do against those bastards Don't buy their players and that's a good punishment.
