I think our difference in opinion is just coming from how the Fitness Centre FAQ and level 20 doctors blurbs are written i.e. whether they both result in the same outcome or not. A lot of stuff in the FAQ is quite misleading or poorly written so it's definitely not worth having an argument about. I'm still waiting to be able to build parking spaces for my stadium
In the meantime, we can aggressively track the recovery times and see if a 5 day result comes up. Of course that wouldn't rule out a glitch, but I actually think this is a legitimate question that we can ask the admins and see if they will tell us. I don't think the recovery duration process was ever meant to be secretive. Random, yes, secretive, no

100% + 100% + 40% + 40%. Explain this fifth day option please?
I think you are looking for answer and construing the know terrible English within the FAQ to come out for a fifth day option.
After 20 seasons, we've now had "one" manager suggest a 5th recovery day is possible. And now arguing the gospelness of it. I would suggest the manager is mistaken.

100% as standard (1 day) + 100% from doctors (1 day) + 40% chance of skipping 2 days instead of the standard 1 (1 day) + 40% chance of recovering 2 additional days (2 days).
Basically the way level 20 docs blurb is written suggests it's a 40% chance for 2 additional days instead of a 40% chance of skipping 2 days instead of 1.
I've never really tracked my injury durations against recovery times but when I looked again at what the FAQ and doctors actually say about the 40% chance it is worded quite differently and so a successful roll in either could result in a different outcome. I'm certainly not saying this is fact, especially as there have been other examples of the FAQ misconstruing information.

Not really. But it is poorly written. The big thing in the sentence is it mentions additionally twice. You get one or the other. Not both. The is no "plus" or "with". There is an "and" referring to the "additionally" options.
But I'm open to be proven wrong. Just because I have not had a 5 day recovery happen in 3 years doesn't mean it cannot happen. And we know it has happened to a total of one manager. So we'll just have to wait and see if others whom have never tracked these things before come up with results.

Well isn't that just sod's law! We were discussing injury recover times and I get a lengthy injury to track and it just had to be to the captain of my defense!

You are one unlucky manager. I think I get 3-4 injuries per season.

Tell me about it!
Season 16 was the last season before I got level 20 doctors and I had 11 injuries. I didn't track it before but I think in S14 & S15 I had a similar number. Level 20 doctors are meant to reduce the chance of injuries by 50% and last season I had 9!

I'd always assumed that injured players didn't get any training points for that week. My LB who got injured today is working on his soft caps (these are the only players that I track the decimals for) and I noticed his decimals increased, so that's good to know! I don't know why I thought they didn't, I guess I'd just never had a player pop a skill level on the same week they got injured.
