Wow, the last two posts are so laughable, there really is no response. Tannebomb needs to go, Landry needs to go, they need to get their O-line healthy and stop the crappy penalties, which gets back to coaching. Their defense has been a pleasant surprise, as has their back up QB. Management has always been an issue with the Dolphins, so that won't likely change. Need to have the right coach that can work with management like this and draft a bit better. See Dallas to correct those issues. Hey, they still have a shot at the playoffs

Moore isn't a surprise, he has always been the same, he just got an opportunity(and a very, very good coach in Adam Gase). If Landry goes away, who do you throw the ball to ?

Derrick Henry as a TE was a joke (good one, though)

I'm familiar with Gase, remember I'm a Bears fan first and foremost! The management issue is above Gase, but he does have to get the stupid penalties in order, that is definitely under his control. Moore is just showing that Tannebomb is ordinary. I didn't suggest for Landry to just go away. I suggested, several weeks ago, that he would be good to ship off and get something in return for him. The last couple of weeks, he's been hot again, but that was a big dry spell since about week 2 or 3. I posted some 3rd down conversion information on him from last season (a few posts up) and he's not the elite WR that I would like to see in Miami. Just my opinion, of course.

Of course the Henry post was a joke and I just was having fun with it too. He left off so many decent TE's from his list, to add Henry in a group of 5 was a bit lame.

Clearly Landry isnt elite, but not because of the bogus random stat you pulled out of the hat. With no context, no reasoning, just pulling out a number compared to some other players Who happen to play even different positions (isnt reed a tight end?). Bravo

Landry is not elite because he lacks speed and isnt big neither a redzone threat. Anyway he is the best Miami receiver and has now 270 catches in 3 years. He is reliable plays with fire and is a good blocker. If he asks for julio jones money he isnt worth it, if he is reasonable this league is about drafting well and keeping your talent. He is a very good player for us and shipping him makes no sense unless we are the Browns and we are stockpiling picks because we are starting from ground zero.

the obvious lack of football knowledge displayed in this thread is baffling

Landry is a possession receiver. There's plenty of those on the market of the same talent level. However, he has some name recognition over those others, especially with the game he had last week. If he finishes the season hot, Miami should look to trade him while is value is highest, allowing cap room and options for addressing the issues the team needs addressed more. QB being one of those needs.

+1

the obvious lack of maturity displayed in your team name & logo is baffling, too

(just to make another very useful statement that will make this discussion progress)

If the Dolphins should do that, then they just won't do it (because of problem within this organisation listed above)

throw two of best offensive players out because they arent all pro is ridiculous not every player needs to be an all pro they need to be competitive, which is exactly what the dolphins are this year and with a good draft after the season they should be contenders.

Landry is a slot receiver. Anquan Boldin is a possession receiver. Some possession receivers can play well in the slot but there is difference between a pure slot receiver and a possession receiver, and Landry is clearly a pure slot.
Wide receiver is the position in football I'm less familiar with but even I can spot that difference between these two specimen. He is a black Wes Welker.

Dolphins need Parker to step up and be consistent in the #1 receiver role. Landry is more than a good player and I hope he has a long career with the Dolphins but just for curiosity I would like to hear who you would put in his place. Given that as you say there are jillionz of great slot (not possession) receivers ready to contribute with similar production and they dont even want to get paid.

And BTW for those concerned with cap space we should be between 30-40millions under the cap for next league year. We are fine

Jarvis Landry is 24 years old and has a 2017 cap number of $1.1M. Cutting him loose because "he isn't elite" is dumb as hell.
