I don't think some of you follow the Dolphins that closely or at the very least do research before saying something. As kagemusha said wake was due about 10 million this year, and by simple math 2 years at 15-17 million over two years is not as much as 10 million. Are you guys not aware of what gase was doing with the Broncos? Offensive coordinator of the highest scoring offense in history but clearly he knows nothing?

My comments were clearly aimed at the Bears QB issues and then comparing them to the similar QB problems in Miami. You seem to think Cutler had a fantastic season last year and therein lies the problem with assessing the QB situation at Miami. Both teams have trouble identifying the right guy to lead them out of mediocrity. You want to use Denver stats regarding scoring offense, well look at the QB they went out and got and look at all the receivers they went out and got. This is not apples to apples, at least not yet. All he had to do was hook up with Manning and throw to an incredible cast of receivers. Gase has a good track record, even pushed the Bears up to the middle of the pack with their anemic offense for a season. Miami needs a better and more consistent QB and I'm sure he will figure that out in short order

How the Bears were decent without Jeffery last season is amazing.

They weren't decent! How is 6-10 decent? Sorry, but that doesn't cut it, with or without Jeffery. They have plenty of decent receivers, just need someone to consistently get them the ball. They have a premier running back, just sucky ex Vandy QB, that can't put together a complete season. He's proven it all over the place, but people keep hanging their hats on him. Can he go out and have a 400+ yard game and look like the next coming? Sure, so can tannebomb. The NFL has 16 games for a reason, you have to play well for more than 4-6 games

Who exactly were the decent receivers when Jeffery was out?

Nobody knows because the inept QB couldn't get the ball consistently to any of them. The Bears have a great young receiving group, very promising, but no QB that will consistently get them the ball, so they will fester in mediocrity. I love the Bears, but we need a new QB!! As for the receivers, you have Wilson, Langford, Royal and young fast guys in Bellamy and Thompson. Thompson is the real deal at 4.3 speed, I'm sure you've enjoyed him lighting up the return game, but only 3 passes to him all year?? Sorry, he's a Gator, so maybe I'm biased, but he can catch. Then you have Bennett at TE and Forte is pretty decent pass catcher out of the backfield. Yeah, Jeffery is a great young talent, no doubt, but he would be an even bigger star with a better QB. This is my point and everyone keeps tossing the conversation away from the problem QBQBQBQBQBQB! Right now there is a sports columnist writing up an article about how this is the season Cutler is going to show everyone how great he is

Then after that he can crack on with an article saying Liverpool are going to win the Premier League because 'this is their year!'

It seems unethical for the Bears to get a new qb. I think Cutler had potential that has been wasted at this point. Look at how many qbs they have gone through. Get a set up that help a qb grow and learn and then get a new one instead of investing in a guy purely to ruin his career.

Granted you aren't as bad as the Browns in this regard. I reckon they could take any qb from the last 50 years and turn him into a scrub in two seasons. Max.

Considering the receivers that the Bears had, I'm surprised they managed 6 wins. I don't know exact stats, but the main thing when everyone was talking about before everyone was hiring new coaches was that gase did amazing work with jay cutler, to my knowledge he had a much better season than he did both the seasons prior.

I love how Gatr blames Cutler for being out of Vandy, like if Vandy is a major disease for a QB.

Cutler is nothing more than average, has never been able to put it all together, i agree with that, but it doesnt have nothing to do with the college he played in.

Brees played college ball at Purdue and will be in the hall of fame.
