Also agree with Kagemusha. Norway a few seasons ago were insane. They had a record breaking (at club level) WR, some really strong clubs, 2 of my players... (just kidding, but the fact that they're both still starters at ages 34 and 30 says a bit in terms of available roster depth). I also remember them having some really good QBs (though it seems their current starter being a Wilhelmshaven SeaWolf is also top quality).

World Cup XIV - Week 5 - Qualification - 26.06.2015 [b/]



Group A

Italy is crushing all opponents in their way to a new World Cup and another try to win the gold.This time it was the turn of Sweden to hit the Italian Defence wall.They only managed to score 24 points and 21 of that where scored in the second half.At halftime the score was 21-3 for Italy and at final time the score was 35-24.The 4th win of the season from four matches for Italy.After half of qualifications Sweden have only one victory and with USA at 2nd spot of the group , it will be very hard to qualify.

Sweden 24 - 35 Italy

USA managed to get the 3rd win of the season , after a defeat one week ago in the match against Italy.They've beat Austria who only got one victory after 4 matches this season.Excelent second quarter for the americans when they scored 28 points and only allowed 7.The final score was 77-49 for USA.They are second in group , after Italy.They could hope that Italy will make a wrong step or they have to wait the second match to beat them.

Group B

Denmark is already at the world cup.Today they got the needed win after the match against Portugal who was in a poor form this season.They got only one win and they have the weakest attack in the group.Maybe is time for a reconstruction.Or at least to replace some players.Denmark it wasn't to great this season but they've got wins in important matches.Today , with a magistral performance by theyr Qb , they could reserve the plain tickets for the next World Cup.They want more than the bronze.

Could history repeat herself ? That's the question these days in Grid Iron International World. Two season ago , Spain was perfect in the qualifications and they won the World CUp.There still one more game to play in the qualification group and more good teams will be present at Final pHase.Maybe UK , USA or even Italy would have a thing or two to say.The Silver medalist from last year is now eliminated.I think the prhase "Once you reach the top , is harder to stay there" is the main reason here in Grid Iron.

Group C

Argentina is once again in the pursuit to a new World Cup.Last year they blow up the chance to fight for a medal in a easy group , being BOT at every single match at the World Cup.This year they want to get theyr revenge.After a first defeat in the second week , they are now at three consecutive wins and leaders of the Group G.They didn/t give any chance to Bosnia today and scored 84 points.Magic performance by theyr QB.Bosnia won only one game but still have chances to qualify.It will be a miracle but there still a chance.

Argentina 37 - 31 Bosnia & Herzegovina

Biggest surprise of the week took place in Belgium when the local team , after 3 defeat in the first three matches they managed to beat the World Champions.Theyr QB was in magic form and with a 66 % PCT 56 points they got the first win of the season.Hungary is now in a little trouble.They have two victorys and two defeats and they are on 3rd in Group C.They need to be very carefull if they want to defend the title won last year.Unfornately for them even if they are perfect will the end of the qualifications they could be out.We will see.

Group D

Ukraine is now 0-4 but they where pretty close this week after they were defeat by Russia in the last quarter.Before the start of the last quarter they were in fron by 11 points.But then Russia scored two TD's in the first 5 minutes of the game.This is not an escuse , Ukraine failed to score and the victory was for the russian.Great performance by both QB , ukrainian QB finish with 64.3 and the russian QB finish with 66 % PCT.

Ukraine 42 - 45 Russia

After a first defeat in the first week of the qualification , France rise the game and got third consecutive victories for the second place of the group.They need now to beat Russia in the direct match and they are at the World Cup , because i don't think that Bulgaria or Ukraine could be a problem for them.Today Bulgaria was a bit asleep at the start of the game , and France scored 3 TD's with none from Bulgaria.Was pretty hard to recover from that.We have another QB with perfect perfomance , i think is the greastest from this week.Ange Paturel , 69.4 % PCT .

Group E

The most even group seems to be Group E.After four matches each , we have two teams at 3-1 and two teams at 2-2.The fifth teams is Columbia and they are 0-4.But all the first four teams have still chance to qualify.Slovenia managed to give Canada the first defeat of the season.Weak performance by Canada , in the offence.Slovenia lead the game in the every quarter and got the the lead of the group.But they still could failed to qualify.They need to be careful , they all need to be careful.

Late in the night , Columbia give it another chance to win the first game of the season.But after the game they have zero victories and four loses.Still need a much bigger pool to select better players.New Zeeland crush them and they are now 2-2.Casado and his boys want to qualify at another World Cup editions , and after the 4th place from last year , they have all the right to be there.

Group F

Early Christmas in Serbia.They got the tickets to a new World Cup.Not to watch but to play for the medals.They beat Finland and the last match against Mexico is to celebrate among the fans.It was a small difference win but indeed a win.Finland was unable to take the chance in this game , cause Serbia was a little weak in this game.But all in one , Serbia is once again at World Cup.Finland need to wait one year for another try at the medals.

Serbia 35 - 31 Finland

Weak season for Mexico after the last season when they fought for a place at the World Cup , this year they are without victory.Germany crush them and they are the second team of the group to qualify at World Cup.No spectacular perfomance.It was draw at halftime but after that Germanny won the game at 28 points difference.

Group G

Netherland got the second qualification at a World Cup in a row and now they only have one game at home , and could celebrate the qualification with their own fans.After a first half of qualifications perfect for them with three wins and zero defeats they got the winning match they need to qualify.Today they've beat Ireland with a crusing performance.The irish boys still have chances to qualify for the World Cup.All will be defined in the last game of the qualification , two weeks from now , in Ireland , against Romania.

Netherland 63 - 42 Ireland

For Romania it was easy this weak.They needed a victory if Ireland where to win , or even a lose if Ireland lose the other game.Both teams who fight for the 2nd place of the group lost this weak.Switzerland was bbefore this game at 0-4 , but they obtained the first win of the season against Romania.Romania and Ireland will fight in a death match for the qualification.Ireland need a victory at any score.For Romania is a little complicated , because they need a victory at 3 or more points.Could be a very interesting game.

Group H

We now know another qualified team at World Cup.And it's the greastest national team from Grid Iron.United Kingdom beat Norway after a good performance.They are second in the Group H , after Australia at points difference.After two qualifications in a row , Norway will stay this year at home.They've been a little unlucky this year being in a group with UK and Australia.Next year they will try to return at the World Cup.

Norway 35 - 45 United Kingdom

Australia got theyr own tickets to a new World Cup and another try for the most shining medal in Grid Iron International.Croatia is once again in a zero season.After last season when they beat till the last match for a place at World Cup , this year they are 0-5 with only one game left , and that game will be against United Kingdom.Being honest the group was very hard for them.They need a little more luck next season.

It was 35 - 31
