My 11 skill kicker has a career long of 36 despite numerous attempts between 35-45.

My kickers skill is 10 and his career long is 35, don't feel confident enough to go to 40 yards so i haven't tested him further than the 35 yard line.

Don't bother..he won't make them..

My 7 skill kicker makes them from 35 and in all day long

My 8 skill kicker misses then from 38 and 40 all day long.

And that is the problem...

1. set you orders to <40 to kick for FG, you are 23 yards from the endzone. miss it all the time.

2. set your order to <35 to kick for FG, you are 18 yards from the endzone. make it all the time.

But if you go with no.2, you can finsh 4th-10 on the 19 yards line for example and punt it for a touchback, the offence will start on the 20 yard line.

I might just have to set order to go for a 1st down when under 25 yards, no matter how many yards are left. Not worth punting for 3 yards.

My offense gets TDs, so I'm not worried about FG's over 35 yards at this time. I do see your point, all i've ever said is I'm happy with my 7 skill kicker, he does all I ask for a very reasonable salary. Not sure if it's worth paying him a bunch more to test what you all are saying is difficult to get to.

On the kicking chart that is being thrown up there, it is nice, but still fails to take into account the strength, footwork and at least vision the kickers need to have in this game. I'd like to see that fixed before they meddle with percentages of kicks they should make. Even in the NFL, the highest paid guys aren't always the best performers. Training needs to be a part of the equation. So a well rounded 10 skill guy in the aforementioned skills, 19-20 strength and 19-20 consistency should outperform a 19-20 skill kicker with no other skills to speak of

I concur with you completely. I was simply suggesting that because it wouldn't take very long at all to just change the percentages since they are only working with two current skills.
