I would like to propose that this game only gets developed in English, at least until all the major mistakes have been ironed out. That way the FAQ can be instant updated as soon as they are found. In the end the FAQ would become the Grid Iron Rulebook that would act as a huge encyclopaedia of knowledge.

This was brought up before, and again I am for this. Kick the multilanguage language at least from the FAQ and lets work on it real time!

Multilanguage is up to the LA's not the admins. If i couldn't play in dutch i've would be long gone. Because i find it to tyring to keep translating skill for myself from englisch to dutch.

@jespernohr: Text (post) was not supposed to sound "arrogant" or anything like that. And don't worry, we never "silence" people that post their views on things - even if the views are different of those from the admins. But direct insults, which Karma did use, are not allowed here - no matter what the reason for insults might be.

As for the "keeping the FAQ in English only". Well, we still think, given that many managers cannot read English at all, that information in their native language is important. And, yes, there might still be mistakes in FAQ, but not mistakes that would cost you "big time" as they say.

I suggest you come up with a better system to keep it up to date. Letting mistakes stay in the FAQ for 3-4 months are simply not professional enough! At the end of this season I have been in this game for one and a half season and not once have the FAQ been updated.

It can't be that difficult to do a correction and send it out for translation to the different LAs to translation. I think most of them would prefer small updates at a time rather than getting one huge update every 6 months, if that often...

Sorry for being a bit negative, but the lack of action on this is quite demoralising.

I've been trying to avoid the forums for the last while since the last uproar over the game but this is ridiculous all round. Firstly no matter how you look at it Karma over-reacted. Hes not the first person to have a problem with construction and I'm sure he won't be the last so I can see the admins view that they can't change their database for everyone who makes a mistake.

However, the main complaint seems to be that this error in the FAQ was pointed out months ago so it seems such a minor thing to change. Am I wrong in thinking that it is literally 1 if not 2 lines in the FAQ? I know the admins can say they're working hard on bigger developments but for 2 minutes of work this problem could have been easily avoided.

That is the problem in a nut shell.

I have to correct myself, unless the updates have happened today, since it looks like there have happened some updates to the FAQ. But then, if the updates haven't been done today, it is even more weird that the problem that has resulted in this situation haven't been corrected.

My sympathy is with karma here and the FAQ should be sorted ASAP because its the main body of text any new player goes to before the forums for info.

two things come to mind,
1. karma knew that the FAQ had contradicting info and the issues with it, but still went with its guidlines..
2. why didnt he input a max value number into his seating to find the true max before hand. surely he has not spent so much time in this game as not to have ever done it and noted the value?!.

admins do have a point though every new player who put construction on their 1k seat stand would want it reverted back.

I think you're wrong here. Even though those players might WANT it reverted, they didn't base their decisions on an outdated FAQ so they have no real justification to ask the admins for such a change.

Karma on the other hand based a decision on the FAQ. The FAQ was wrong. Thus: Karmas request was justified.
Unless the FAQ says "You still get income when building over your 1k stand", the requests from those user are not justified and thus should be denied!

IMHO it's as simple as that!

Exactly! Not worth such a discussion!
