did you see Merriman get decked by MJD? I believe the steroids might have helped him some, and he's probably worse without them.

haha that was embaressing.. that's right.... but Merriman is still the man, and has a huge impact on the chargers defenseLast edited on 2009-05-24 at 10:20

MJD is a stud...don't mess with a Bruin!

It will be interesting to see how well LT plays this season. He's been injured a lot the last couple of years and he's getting to the age were all those carries start to add up. That said, he's an amazing talent and I think he could have a couple more seasons left in him.

Exactly. Don't be fooled by MJD's size. He'll run over anyone.

Merriman, with or without steroids, is a top 5 defensive player in the league. When you take him off a team, it affects them in a negative way. Maybe they don't win many(or any) more games with him last year, but I'd have to guess that they would have.

I said earlier on this thread that da bears should be feared this year. Now they signed Pisa Tinoisamoa (linebacker that played with the Rams). That means they have Briggs, Tinoisamoa, and Urlacher! What a fearsome group of linebackers to try and run against. I really think the bears could surprise some people this year. They should have a good offense, new blocking rules on kickoffs and punts will lead to more special teams touchdowns for manning and hester, i mean if they don't suffer many injuries they could tear some teams up!

I agree about the Bears, especially on defense and special teams. Cutler has a lot to prove to me still. For one, often times last year the Broncos were playing from behind because their defense was horrible. It's not hard to rack up the yards that way. Plus I want to see how he responds to the 30 degree, windy days that Chicago has at the end of the season.

But they definitely have the potential to win the NFC, and once in the Super Bowl who knows.
