Who do you think the Lions will draft with the #1 pick? I think they'll pick Stafford or Jason Smith

I think they will pick Stafford because they are terrible at drafting and terrible at being a football franchise.

And with the first pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select..Michael Crabtee, WR, Texas Tech.

Well the GM that liked them was canned but i see them taking a tackle over a QB but with teams like the Lions and Raiders the obvious choice is something they seem to avoid

Soo they could take a Kicker or even a Running Back...Say a Glen Coffee

I am a big time Lions fan and hope they don't take Stafford! They have plenty of offense. Kevin Smith is pretty good at running back, Megatron is top 5 at wide receiver in NFL and they can score points. The problem remains they can't stop anyone and they need to A. change defensive scheme and B. get players that will fit that new defense.

You would think that when Millen was the GM (ex great linebacker) that your defense would of been already in place.
You do definately need help at the QB position but I'm not sure Stafford is the answer...I'm not sold on any of the QB class coming out in the draft this year.

you can't pass up on a quarterback with stafford's potential. in grid-iron terms, he has 5 talent, 18 intel, 15 passing, 18 strenght, 20 teamwork, and 10 consistency
