2-3 stretch run is most likely, but hey, let's see

patriiots are going to play starters week 17

I think they already showed they can win with back ups in week 1-4, but let's see when that game shows up, who will be playing

Them playing backups is dependent on clinching home field advantage. If they do I think they could use some backups and let people heal a little bit. Anyway we have something else to worry about for 4 weeks

If they win this week, then 10-6, if they lose, then 9-7 is much more likely. That would be a game higher than I projected them at 8-8

Ouch. Back to earth. 2x Ints and 80 yards from Tannehill in the first half sunk them. Baltimore's defense playing zone and the offense going into wastage mode in the third quarter only made the result bearable for Miami.

Injuries, holding penalties, inconsistent QB play, it's looking like 2-3 in the stretch will be a best case scenario

The defense is hurt all around when Alonso is off the whole unit is off. Same with the o line and pouncey

I'm not giving them an easy out, they need to step up and this is the time of year winning teams step up. In addition to injuries, which by the way, all teams have to endure, they continue to make stupid mistakes. They had an easy stretch of games for 6 weeks and in typical fashion, they reeled back in the non-believers again. It's too bad they don't have a A+ QB to carry them through the stretch run. They have too many good offensive weapons now to not be using them more effectively. That was an expected and embarrassing loss as far as I'm concerned. 2-2 the rest of the way is a best case scenario and I hope they prove me wrong, but I've seen this play before

The next game will be paramount to measure the level of fight in the team. As I stated before I dont really care about results as long as I can see an improvement. This game wasnt bad because Tannehill played bad (his last bad game was Cincinnati, I can live with that kind of inconsistency against one of the best defenses in the league) but because the team almost never tried(except Suh and you guess who? Byron Maxwell).

As Gatr suggests if we fold in December losing games like that we are back to square one.

That being said the argument of the streak of 6 easy games is just false. Other than the fact that nogame is easy in the NFL we won games against Pittsburgh who was 4-1 at the time, Buffalo who was comin off a 4 game winning streak and Chargers who are always a dangerous team especially when you travel 4 time zones to get there. 49ers were the only really bad team we beat (Jets still had a pulse back then, they had just beaten the Ravens, and half of the Rams is a good team too).

We suffer injuries more than other team because we have no depth. It's a major issue when your LB unit is made of special teamers, that's usually why tight ends have a field day against us.
