I don't care if Derrick Henry is mentioned, but I feel the rod you have made for your own back with previous efforts at moderating is currently being waved in your face and you can't really argue against it with any justification

Well let's just call it off topic then and we'll make sure to let PR know, since he is the one that went 'off topic'. In the thread you are referencing about 'locking', there were 3 warning requests to stay on topic prior to locking that thread. I think that is a bit different than this case, where another manager went 'off topic' and I simply replied to that post. Just so everyone knows, I am not angry here, just having fun as usual. Being a Bears fan, I'm used to inept QBs that get touted as the next best thing, only to fall short season after season.

Moderating is a funny thing, you can't please everyone all the time, nor should that be your primary goal.

Dolphins are weak and inept and until they replace that loser QB, they will be incapable of mounting any serious threat in their division

Why are you talking about the Bears in a Dolphins thread?!

This anarchy must stop!

The Dolphins were one of the teams who were reported to have interviewed Henry before the draft and were also in bad need of a running back. They chose to pass him over in the second round and let him slip a little further. Tennessee took him a few picks later. I'm pretty certain the reason Henry is mentioned in this thread is because of that and that's why he said "Oops" about the Dolphins. You know what's really funny? Here, I will show the first mention Henry gets in this thread and what lead up to it. See if you notice the irony...

so i came up with 2 3 rd mock drafts to fill the dolphins needs

op1-
1- Elliot RB Ohio State- best rb in the class and miami is in need
2- Burns CB Miami- athletic corner and miami in need
3- Mcgovern G Mizzou- one of the most athletic guards

op2-
1- Jackson III CB Houston- best scheme fit corner for miami in the draft
2- Perry LB OSU- very good linebacker and miami needs depth
3- Booker RB Utah- essentially the next best rb in the class

Sure Derrick Henry would disagree with your last point. Also not sure Booker will be there in round 3 whether he is the 2nd or 3rd best RB in the draft

Now, after all of that... Henry isn't a Dolphin, but the fact they passed on him in the draft is relevant to this board as pre-season unfolds and he's looking good which could make it look like a mistake for the Phins not to draft him when they had the chance.

That said, I get the point of your post and each is entitled to their own opinion. So, points were made, I understand where you were going with yours... I'm heading back on topic, as a Phins fan, I'm ready for another lackluster season. Honestly, I don't see this team being any good again in my lifetime with the way it's been going for the last several years. I think to myself, "Nah, they have to get back up there at some point. No team is that bad for that long." Then, I remember the Cubs historical post-season woes and realize this really could go on for a long, long time.

**disclaimer before the village chimes in** No, schmert, it's not a Cubs thread, either.

I think the Titans running back performance against the Chargers run d is more about the lack of ability in the Chargers front 7 than it is how great the Titans backs are. Starters for Miami will play a series or two tomorrow should be interesting.

It will be interesting to see the starting DL have a go at Dallas OL.
So far we have had suspect tackling against the Giants but with less and less contact allowed in the offseason it is to be expected. I think DB played very well, especially McCain.

Hopefully Tunsil becomes a starter from this evening and Dallas Thomas is only kept on roster for depth. I still would prefer Tunsil to play tackle and Albert to slide inside as Guard but it looks like they never considered the option.

Another thing I look forward to is Doughty taking reps with 2nd team offense: he was good in the first game, has some potential but needs to be tested with better competition. Moore can sit out the game, his job is holding a clipboard anyway.

Still have some hope on Turner. Bushrod might be useful.
Thomas will be a backup hopefully, could still be better than Urbik but it's maddening how he is put on skates by everybody who attempts a bullrush on him.

Defense lacked any form of hard play against the Cowboys today. Offense did alright, but never got many chances.
