I'm also not sure knowing that Bortles and Bridgewater, 2 1st round projection QBs with stellar off field records and decent NFL-esque strengths as well as strong game film and decent scout records from pretty much every scout, are going to do well in the NFL and that Johnny Football, an off field train wreck with a skill set that doesn't suit the NFL, won't adjust is proper crystal ball type of predictions.

Now if you'd have predicted someone like Tom Brady being picked in round 6 becoming one of the best ever QBs despite average scout reports, awful; physical attributes and being drafted so low then fair enough, but saying the same thing as every major NFL scout about some high profile guys isn't exactly a revelation, is it?

Also, what did you even say about Bridgewater and Bortles? I don't even know what your prediction for them was (I've made the assumption that it was something positive based on the previous posts in the thread)

I made these comments two years ago on a QB's thread I brought to the front just a few days ago, so I would suggest looking there.
I actually did make a similar prediction on Tom Brady coming out in the 6th round, I was a big fan of his at Michigan with the gutsy way he always played. One of the all time great steals in the draft! Scout reports are hilarious and it's funny how some stick and some are just ignored. It comes down to watching game tape or live games and making evaluations of how they play padded up to me. Brady's final 3 games at Michigan were nothing short of awesome with wins over Penn St, Ohio St and then Alabama in the Orange Bowl. An example of the reverse would be someone like Philip Rivers, who had all kinds of crappy reports with his side arm slinging, lack of arm strength reports, etc., but he went 4th and perhaps should have gone 1st that year. I was always huge on him though. He rarely missed passed, something like 70+ % completion rate in college. Unfortunate for him he has been stuck in San Diego, dude should have some hardware by now. So two examples of poor scout reports, one mattered and player fell to 6th round, one didn't matter and player drafted high. Arguably two of the best qbs of recent history. I don't listen much to scout reports, I watch games and I think another big indicator is listening to the young men interview, which usually answers all the character questions I have in order to evaluate them.

We can go all day bringing up other players and contest what opinions were then, but it gets us nowhere. I clearly identified the 3 players above to bring credibility to the discussion that I had previously talked about in other threads a couple years ago, so it is right there as evidence. Take it for what you want or ignore it completely. I'm done with the Miami draft evaluation and time will tell here, just as it always does. I'll be back here after the season to eat crow or poke fun.

The guy beating his chest about good QB predictions also said Jameis Winston would be out of the league in 3-5 years.

If you have to beat your chest on an internet message board, I feel sorry for you.

I'm not beating my chest, so no pity necessary and I still think Winston will be nothing more than an average QB when it's all said and done. But, if he continues on his current path, he may well prove me wrong. Let's return to this discussion in a few more years. I'm not always right, never indicated that either. It's funny after several of you tell me I don't have any clue, then I show evidence that I do in fact have a clue, you want to tell me that I'm now 'beating my chest on an internet board'. I suppose I should have just ignored you to begin with, but the light hearted (at least from me) banter is sometimes fun. I would feel sorry for you if I knew you, but I don't, so I can't be bothered with your trivial and meaningless opinion of me. Enjoy your day

Yeah, you really went out on a limb there declaring Johnny Manziel would flame out. I mean goddamn, the Bears should let you be the GM. They'd have a franchise quarterback in no time.

It doesn't take a great leap in logic to deduce from this sentence that you may not think very highly of black people.

Yes, not too shabby, thanks. I'm sure I could do better than most, thanks for the compliment

No racist behavior, statements and/or team/manager names will be allowed on Grid-Iron servers. Religious outbursts and slander of others beliefs will not be tolerated. Political discussions are for political forums, not for a game and will not be allowed. Grid-iron is a place where we should have fun, sports banter and healthy sports rivalries, so politics, racism and religion have no place here.
