Maybe they could trade Suh and his huge paycheck for Payton? Payton could really fix Tannehills QB issues.

I dont get the safety argument. Safeties weren't due to fumbles, they were mishandled snaps who went out of bounds. Why do you count it as a fumble? Do you know what is a fumble?

The NFL classes them as a fumble. If in your expert opinion you are saying the NFL is incorrect. Then let us all be educated.

I was wrong on that, didnt know the exact rule. IMHO it could be counted as more of a "team" lost fumble or a "half fumble" because you cant put the blame squarely on one guy.

Still I dont see the turnover machine. It's more a general inconsistency issue as Gatr said.

Yeah, odd rules that but guess it just makes it easier and more consistent for the stats guy to work out if the rule is just to blame the QB. Similarly, in the Eagles game last week (or was it week 16?) Bradford tossed the ball to Murray on a sweep, it hit him in the hands and he dropped it, only for the D to recover. The fumble goes down as one for Bradford as Murray is classed as never having control of the ball to start with. Harsh on Bradford really but I guess you can't fumble the ball without ever having control of it... unless you're the QB and the snap goes wayward!

Tannehill is pretty far down the list of problems that plague the Dolphins.

I posted the same 12 months ago and you both gave me grief about it. Even Bucs roster talent jokes followed. Interesting you both are singing a very different tune these days.

They really need to find solution. Dan band-aided the problem for a while. But maybe Philbin's marching orders came too late to save the season. Cos they have gone roughly .500 with Dan. But were way behind the 8-ball before they promoted Dan.

I'd like to see Dan get a full season worth a coaching in. But whatever they do, they need to smart and precise with the decision. Cos another wasted season after the past 4 wasted will be horrible.

And they need a good QB coach to work with Tannehill. Somebody need to get him to stop fumbling and throw picks.

Thank goodness they brought in Gase.

Gase last qb, jay Cutler, had one less interception and two less fumbles than Tannehill(2 more lost), with circa 100 less dropbacks. Qualifies as turnover machine?

I'm not thrilled by the hire but I hope you are correct.

Compare the difference for 2014 and 2015 for Jay Cutler. So if the same results can be had, then you'll be happy.

Unless they get a really good d coordinator the defense is going to suck ass

Indeed. Many more pieces to the puzzle need to be found.

The first thing Adam Gase needs to do is cut Brent Grimes.
