Well, one problem I see is that our FS/C is playing SS/R. I have no idea how that got changed. It was not something I intended. I did look over the roster last night after training and made a few changes because some players had been trained and I felt they were now better than the old starters. I considered changing a safety, but not the position.

I must have made an accidental click and didn't catch it.

I'm sorry everyone.

It's okay, nobody showed up to watch the game, so our team was uninspired

When I first saw the score, I was worried that I had put Sampson back into the lineup too early. His status shows as good, so with his skill set compared to Earls, I figured if there was a drop off, it wouldn't be much. Initially it looks like he had a good game so I don't think that had anything to do with the poor showing.

All the other lineup changes I made involved a player with skills that had increased to equal or better than the previous starter. If they were equal, the change was made because of higher CON.
I was concerned a bit about inserting Mayfield due to his slower speed compared to the others, but he had highers skills everywhere else and better CON too. And initially, it looks like he had a good game as well.

The only change I didn't make was Gamache has higher skills than Cory, but also has a lower CON. I felt the difference in CON could negate the increase in skills. All relevant skills are 1 pt higher, CON is 5 pts lower.

The only real problem I can see is Cory being out of position. With the simplistic nature of this game engine, it strikes me odd that this would have that large of an effect on the game.

I also wonder if attendance has any affect on the game. There is suppose to be a slight home field advantage figured in. Could a 0 attendance possible cause a negative effect?

Well, we had trouble scoring, no doubt, but we had trouble on defense too. I like the split set with 2 SS's better than offset like they were today. I realize that was not don on purpose, but either 2 FS's or 2 SS's is the way to go. Put the best guys out there and hope we get the rolls, should be fine

Wow, I looked back through the past lineups and the defense lineup mistake has been there since the last game against Spain. And it wasn't Cory out of position it was Rogers being moved from SS/L to SS/C. I have no idea how that happened now because I don't recall making any changes around that time, especially to the safety position.

Likely, the Italy coach noticed the lineup and set his to take advantage. I hope that's the case anyway. Maybe if I can keep a better eye on it, we'll be in better shape for the next round.

If I remember how the set up works correctly, we will play either Portugal or Poland in the next game.
