Great game today PHI. We look as strong as we ever have. The new players seemed to play very well, even the older bot players. It seems that strategy has paid off, seen as we had 5 BPOS match ratings ALL OVER on our team. We looked absolutely dominant

as dominant as the uk?

In terms of player ratings for the last game it looks like a wash. They had a 66% completion rate and about 100 more yards than us in their game. It looks pretty close over all between the two squads.

Well to win the wc we need to get through the uk. We need to be as good or better.

Obviously I can't run scouts on every single player, but going by rating and wages it looks like we should be about dead even over all.

I would agree. It was obvious last cycle that we were only a small bit behind them. This cycle, we had a great community effort and built our team even better. This means we should hopefully be on that same level or better. Let's hope

We should keep going with our database. Are there more players that need to be scouted for the future? If so, let's post a list and get started on them, a few each week. We have a whole season worth of scouts to use and now would be a good time to continue the effort of building the database for talent, so the next manager will have a head start.

Nice start to the WC, but we expect to qualify, so let's not get all complacent

I agree completely!!!!

I'm planning to post all the scouting info I have to mm2ss' documents file, I just haven't had much time and I still need to organize it so that those who didn't create the file can actually understand it. Another thing I need to add to it is that as I was creating a database of players to scout, I was listing them by the team they are on, and what league the team was in. Obviously, this becomes useless if the player changes teams. This is all irrelevant information, however, I didn't think to record each player's ID number until AFTER mm2ss posted his file online. So, while I have a large list of potentials we could still scout, it's kind of difficult to find some of them at the moment. Sorry. I'm still scouting players for next season, especially those on bot teams since they won't change between now and then. I will also be scouting the players on the NT to find their position ratings to see if any others are dual positioned as this can add a lot of flexibility.
I'm hoping I'll be able to cut and paste the information to the online document. Otherwise, posting all the info will be a job as there are 551 potentials I have so far and some form of information on just over 200 of these.

Feel free to share the player names and teams and we can all get started rounding up their player ID numbers, as that should be the method of our database format for long term use. Same for scouting, don't feel like you have to do it all yourself

Looking strong, guys. Remember though, match rating is notoriously unreliable and no guarantee of who will win.

I say this mostly because my sole USA representative this cycle pulled in only a 4.5* rating on defence, but he's clearly the best player ever. Don't be fooled by his 0 tackle game, he's so good the Hungarians didn't even put a receiver on his side of the field!

Also, kind of jealous you even need a multi-coach scouting effort. Our pool is so small, we just do it via the 50 callups (before then noting down builds and tossing them off the team again).
