I think this is excellent advice, and as no-one (including admin) has stated that this would not be an acceptable course of action, I would like to say the following...

1. Dishonesty is permitted.

2. Highlighting an example of dishonesty is forbidden.

With hindsight, my decision to pay money to play this game is regrettable; it's like playing poker at a table of card sharps.

What you just said would make perfect sense, if it wasn't for the fact that someone edited my post in which I did just that.

In case you're not aware, the edits highlighted in blue [see above] were not made by me - a person unknown saw fit to tamper with the contents of my original post, effectively putting me on notice that what I originally posted was somehow unacceptable, but whoever did it hasn't seen fit to explain why.

We had a round of this before. The moderators are only doing what they are informed to do by the admins. Admins raised a fuss before about posters listing names and teams when it came to shady dealings. It didn't matter whether they called them out or just stated facts. I'm surprised you missed it because it did cause problems and I believe a few managers may have left as an indirect result of those discussions.

I think the admins made it very clear back then, you don't say anything that can be construed as derogatory towards another manager, regardless of what they have said or done. If stating facts can somehow put someone in a bad light, then it's a no no. If you have an issue with another manager, you are suppose to send a report to the admins. However, they also made it very clear that they have no issue with someone misleading or outright lying to another manager.

I think the only thing someone can do is say they were mislead or lied to, but they can't mention the player, team, or manager involved. And to be honest, I'm not even sure if that is legal. I keep a list for myself. Occasionally, when I have noticed one of those lying in an ad, I have sent PM's to any team I saw bid on that player warning them that they "might want to scout the player rather than rely on the sellers ad" or something like that. As for caps, there's no way to know until you buy the player, so it's always a guessing game.

In re-reading some of these old posts, it appears the admins did care about the lying and didn't approve of it, but said they couldn't do anything about it.
