29 minutes, is that all?

Since when does it say that it took 29 minutes?

The whole hoo-ha about saving money to buy top players later on is stupid.

A) If they're top top quality, they're rarely up for grabs.
B) Even if they are up for grabs, they usually have an auction end time that is very unfriendly for us.
C) The heap of older teams around will almost always have more money than you anyway. If they want the player, you will not get him.
D) It's much cheaper and much EASIER to develop your own superstars from raw talents (this includes talent bought from the market). And of course, there are more of them and they will generally last you more seasons(though obviously some will be hit or miss in terms of caps).

the talent is whats important, and good talent from youth pull is hard to get.

transfer market is flooded with cheap talented and well developed players at the moment. just depends on whether you want domestic or import players. there is some bloodly good gems on transfer market currently. i'm tempted to buy up some.

i totally understand the youth pull scenerio. i think i only keep 3-5 youths per year. and them some bum out on physicals early and go elsewhere.

While I agree, this point is largely redundant since it's about buying already made players vs making your own (which as I noted, doesn't necessarily mean from just your youthpulls).

Majority of my talent are market bought - but generally in a non-developed, younger, and cheaper situation. Only ever had a handful of 4.5-5* talent from youthpulls (pulled one last week!), and a total of two have physicals that are ok (12/19, and 16/20) and they're way off being skilled enough to start. The rest are long forgotten

wowzors, literally 30 seconds after reading this page I took my youth pull. Got a 14sp/15str 17 yr old CB, turned out to be 4.5 stars, 19 intel and 19 consis... score !

Tim Mcmahon - remember this name

And at 6'7 sounds like you just found your future QB.

I have a young Mitch Watt int/cons/talent clone who is midway through his development plus a 20 Int 26 year old NT QB with high skills. I'll swap both of these for Tim? Two for one! You can't pass up that!

We seem to produce good talent for QBs in Australia. MY QB2 and QB3 are future stars.

QB2 - 23yo, 5.0* talent, 19 INT, 17 CON, 6'5"
QB3 - 19yo, 4.5* talent, 20 INT, 20 CON, 6'3"

The QB3 cost a whole $14K transfer from another Australian team. Bargin! Some Aussie managers are crazy moving on local talent which they should keep.

I'm set for QB position for a minimum of 10 seasons. Dunno when to move on my current QB1 27yo. Not too smart but very high VIS, PAS, SPD, STA means he does the job, and does it well.
