First, forget about balance

Physicals (Speed, Strength, Stamina) dont raise the wage bill while all other trainable skills do! On the other hand more and more people here have the opinion that strength and Speed is not used int the way you would expect it from American Football. Speed for WRs seems to be nearly useless as example. If I were you I would stick with physicals until you built a good stadium and prepared your financial situation well, and then I would switch my training to primary skills like catching for WR.

In real football yes. In GI it's impossible to know whether he is well defended or not or even if such a state exists (which is unlikely). All that we know is that over several thousand games it seems pretty clear that agility results in more touchdowns and that speed's effect seems trivial.

How do you know it was the speed that effected the outcome of the kicks and/or punts? I find that interesting but not necessarily true

I find that interesting but not necessarily true Well, My one KR has 8 agility 9 catching good stamina good carrying 19 strength and 14 speed. While my other KR has 20 speed and 7 agility. He's been averaging 6-9 yards off punt returns. Maybe it's not the speed but it's been working pretty well of late.
