Um...this might sounds stupid. But when I'm on the transfer market, how do I tell what the the talent is of the players listed on there? The talent comes up as a question mark. So following the rookie thread, how do I get a young 4.5+ talent QB on the TM if I can't see what the talent rating is for anything on the transfer market?

You need to use your scout reports, check the players detail page pls.

When I have to do training..I'm assuming I have to focus the training on one particular skill. e.g for QBs: passing etc etc.

It's actually often better not to. If you focus on "all skills" in either Attacking, Defending, Kicking, Tactical, Fitness you train in everything (primary skill gets most training but is randomly assigned), focussing on one skill gives a 10% training penalty and still doesn't allocate 100% of training into the chosen skill - although it is a higher %age than normal and you can guarantee that the skill you select will be the primary skill.

That probably didn't make any sense so I'd recommend reading the Training part of the FAQs
