You must have missed rule #1..

RULE #1:
All money you don't know what to do with must be withdrawn from the bank and sent to TFS so he can waste it on more young players.

I thought we were suppose to save it and use it in bidding wars against you so that you waste more of your money.

were not supposed to be telling him that...

lol

To the torture tower with PHI

I always noticed the guys I try to buy seem to get pretty expensive..

The trick is to make a huge bid on bad players every now and then to throw them off

in terms of serious transfer purchases, i'd recommend holding back until you know exactly what you're going to be looking for and have a good idea of their worth. also, these guys will (often) cost a fair ol' wadge of cash, so you'll need to have got your stadium up by then.

hope this helps, and wlecome to the game

Also, in addition to the excellent advice above: re: transfer shopping - remember to check the Wages on those guys before buying them. I bought a nice OL talent for 'only' $10,000 and was congratulating myself when I noticed his weekly wage was $35,000! For a brand new Div V team that was a big gulp. I was lucky on the timing, and sold him for $20,000 before the next economy update. At the time, he would have been more than 1/3 of my total weekly wages nut.

and a little addition to that... as we are heading towards the end of the season, make sure to look at the predicted wage for the player next season... it may be low now, but a skill over 10 (excluding physicals, mental etc) will cost you big after the off season...

Agreed. Unless you build your team specifically for the situation, I would almost never have a player with a skill of 14 or higher.

Wouldnt this be a nice addition to the Players Profile when he is put on transfer market -> projected Salary next season

Could be a "newbie" help right away from the start - for sure, "some of us" wouldnt be able to sell crap players that high - but it would help keep some more owners in the game, since the dont fall out of the game within weeks.

!
you will never be able to compete against top teams unless your QB has at least 15 passing (again at the very least preferably around 17) and all wr at least 12 preferably 14+

I agree with you dude. I think to compete at the top level, I'd like my QB to have 16 or 17 passing, and my receivers at 14 or 15 catching. But , ALOT, of teams will not be able to compete at the top level for awhile. I gave the recommendation of 14 and under skills so that teams could take all of their players skills of 12 or 13 and see how much of an increase in salaries it was. By the time they get to that level, they will have figured things out, and can make their own decisions as far as what to do next.
