What is a good bank role?

I am new to the game. I have increased my bank account to $351K. I am happy that I am going up instead of down. My stadium is underconstruction. Curious, as a new player what is a safe amount to keep in your account. I would like to up grade some players, but I don't want to find myself in the poor house.

to be honest at the start you shouldn't be worried about stock-piling your cash, i'd recommend throwing everything, and i mean everyhting into your stadium. you've got a 400k overdraft/buffer-zone which can take care of your wages etc. use it.
this is the fastest way to build your stadium and bank balance.
you shouldn't really struggle much for cash as there's a pretty big surplus of it in the game.

how are you considering upgrading your players?
my recomendation would be to work out who your young potential stars on your team are and get them in training. then pick up cheap veterans from the transfer market to fill the gaps.

don't bother spending any money on o-line as these can be easily filled at the start with cheap cheap guys with no skills but high strength, can pick these up for about 1-5k on the market.

in terms of serious transfer purchases, i'd recommend holding back until you know exactly what you're going to be looking for and have a good idea of their worth. also, these guys will (often) cost a fair ol' wadge of cash, so you'll need to have got your stadium up by then.

hope this helps, and wlecome to the game

agree with what stoo12009 said totally...

check you have a sponsor set up (economy pace, click on sponsor) and that you get new matchday sponsors before / after every game.

early on you will see that sponsor cash should your your wages etc easily, so do some maths, make sure it will, and that means you can throw (literally) every penny you make into your stadium that first season... build your VIP and Exec eats to get the highest return, and once your bringing in good money (at least 500k per home league game) then start thinking about players, training facilities etc...

by the time you get to that point you should have a better feeling for the players you have and what you need to do...

also, remember every week to make your youth pull!

Try to come up with a seat-building plan that you can follow until you reach the stadium size you want, and maximize the money you make by minimizing the amount of seats you lose when you construct. Hope that makes sense..

BTW, love the name.

You must have missed rule #1..

RULE #1:
All money you don't know what to do with must be withdrawn from the bank and sent to TFS so he can waste it on more young players.

I thought we were suppose to save it and use it in bidding wars against you so that you waste more of your money.
