whats the best level for stamina? or at least the average level? which players need more stamina?

I believe stamina is very important for most positions except for kicker and punter. I like to get my guys to about 7-10 before I really feel good about playing them often.

That's the thing about this game, there are so many variables. I have noticed TD teams that have not trained physical skills at all. I would suspect that "stamina" is just like some other skills, in that nobody really knows what the total impact is. Personally, I value stamina a lot and look to have all my starters over 10. However, I agree with the last post. I like to have players in the 7-10 range to feel good about starting them. With the exception of special teams players. It doesn't appear to matter for them at all

My quarterback has pretty decent overall skills except for stamina. He has not played as well as I thought he should so I began training fitness with him to see what kind of an impact it will have.

I would think that linemen would need the most stamina as they would play every down on a pysical basis.

I guess the loss of skills due to stamina is calculated every 5 minutes (since it is on the other sid(t)e).
So the question you need to ask yourself is do I want to my team to play almost at the same level right through the game or do I want them to do much better initially and build a cushion big enough to not bother about the other team making a comeback in the 3rd and 4th Q.



If you follow the more-consistent-level- through-the-game approach, everyone on your offense and defense needs stamina depending on the amount of consistency you desire. (Anyone playing 2 positions needs a bit more). The amount of stamina required seems to depend on the skill level. (It takes more stamina for better skilled player to play the same level)
Eg an ol with 19st 5 fw bl 3vi plays consistently even with 5-6 on stamina ...but I d rather have a 'better' OL with less stamina

If you follow the Sparta Nijkerk approach, stamina training is not all that important except to keep your player salaries under check
