Hello,
Another question from the rookie that I am...
How are the players ratings calculated and how do they affect a game ?
For ex. one of my player has an OL rating of 4.0, but his Vision is 1, blocking 4, strength 11 and stamina 3... whereas another guy is strong, good vision, great bloking... but rating as OL 0.5...?!?!
So far, I didn't take into account the ratings, considering first the players skills. But as I continue to lose games, I'm starting to wonder how the simulation works...

If s.o. could provide me with some explanations on that...

Thanks !

Some of us think, the in game rating is calculated like this: player rating + positional stats + stamina + consistency + team chemistry

So basically, you do not look at a player's skills, but you put him at the position his rating is the best... no matter how this rating is calculated ?!

You're talking about match start and end ratings for players?

I wouldn't fix on them do much as you can often get weird things happening to them esp. against bots.

Skills are important, I think that's what Peter means by positional stats.
The biggest factor for match ratings is by far the BPOS.
Imho BPOS and primary skills i.e. passing for a QB, catching for a receiver are pretty much the things to focus on and the biggest factors to success.
For a new team BPOS can take awhile to sort out but persist with it and you will get there in the end.

OK... as I said, I didn't take the BPOS into account so far because they look weird. A guy who's best position is OL when is has a low bloking and strength but high passing for ex... Seems very strange to me. So I'd rather put a guy with a low BPOS as OL but with a great strength and bloking... that's what I've been doing but I guess I was wrong to consider all the skills...

I put very, very, very, very little value in the match ratings. I've seen two teams match up with vastly different ratings, and it end up a close game, and I've seen games where the match ratings were very comparable and the game be a near blow out.

So far I agree with you... I'm just trying to figure out why I lost by so much (59-7) the last game I played (I knew I'd lost, but why by so much...?). And the only thing I can figure out is the ratings of my opponent players. The tactic and my plyers position don't seem to have had any influence...

Mostly because of the fact, half of your team plays only at 1Star Team Chem! Team Chem is also a very important one - TC 1 Star -> -24% Perfomance

the Ancient one speaks the truth, TC is a big factor, dont worry, put players in the positions you think they will do best in, independent of BPOS, play them, increase there BPOS and TC, and you will see a big improvement, it just takes time.... with this game you need to plan ahead...

So it all comes back to waht pstimpel said : what matters most is : player rating + positinning + stamina + consistency + team chemistry (20% each) ! No matter the tactics, skills...!
