Could we assume also that 10 in a skill would relate to a 50/50 result all things being equal most of the time. Then a 7 passing would basically already start you below the 50% threshold. Most of the best QB's talked about in GI are up in the mid teens or higher in passing.

Passing, Vision, Intelligence seem to be the consensus key skills. Consistency is important for the teams focal point but not mandatory I think.

Thanks for the help. It all makes sense. I am going to stick with my current QB and develop him. He may only be a 2.5 talent, but for now and the medium future I am sure I can go with him. In time another may come along.

Exactly, that's a good strategy for now. While the 2.5* talent keeps your team going short term, you can be training up higher talent for the future

I also have a 2.5* QB for now, but if you use the GIManagement tool, then you can track the higher talent and see when they pass the lower talent and then it's time to insert them in your starting line-up. Play the back up in friendlies to raise their TC and bpos

I used a 1 star talent guy at QB for a while until I could find someone younger and more talented. He did pretty well. So there's no reason to think someone with 2.5 stars can't do the same.

Are you sure about that? I'm 99% sure 2.5* of talent cannot go to 4.5* BPOS.

A 2.5* talent should only be able to go to 4* BPOS.

A 2.5* talent player maxes out bpos at 4*, however if you continually play them at the same position, there is a chance that they can go higher. I have no idea how long that might take, but I'm sure it's random and a very very long time. His skills can go above the max as well, but there seems to be a more reasonable probability there. I believe it's 33% chance to go one point over max, 20% chance to go 2 pts over, 10% chance for 3 pts, but that part is explained in help/FAQ
