I'm hardly a rookie, but I sure hope it's alright for me to post a question here.

Does anyone know if Intelligence is affected by Consistency? Actually, Fitness skills, too. I've always assumed (perhaps baselessly) that Int, Str, Spd, and Sta weren't changed from game to game by Consistency.

I don't remember the admin ever saying anything, so if someone could drag him here, that would be awesome.

cant recall either way, but oddly, i assumed the opposite, that consistency affected all stats... would be good to know either way...

from the FAQ:

"However, the lower the consistency value, the higher the chance the player will perform either better or worse than he is usually able to. Don't worry though, the player cannot play 2 times worse as he is able to, because his game rating can be affected by consistency for maximum 20% (gain or loss). Simply put, player with consistency 20 will always play at his full ability (given fitness and team chemistry permit it), while the performance of the player with consistency 1 will vary randomly from -20% to +20% of his basic performance rating in each game."

to me that means it affects overall performance, and overall performance is a product of skills, intel, speed, etc, so in effect you would assume that means it affects them all...

Yeah, but overall performance would be lowered even if just one "important" skill is lowered, so it's ambiguous at best as to what they're saying there.

I'm not sure why I initially thought they weren't included...perhaps because they train differently and aren't included in wage calculations.

we shall never know until admin tell us... either way it affects the players ability by X% lol... independent of what there intelligence or physicals are and whether it affects them speciaffially, so not really a problem either way...

Actually, it is a more specific problem than that, but I won't tell you what/why!

Admin, just give me a if Cons changes Int or a if it doesn't and we'll be good.

as in if you have a 20 intelligence MLB with poos consistency, will the consistency affect the reading of what sort of play it is, which requires intelligence? (or am i wrong with that guess?)

Well, now you ruined the fun for everyone else playing at home. But, yeah...if consistency influences intelligence, then that hurts the entire defense (not just one player) if it's low. I'm guessing the same kinda thing happens with the QB on offense as far as reading the defense.

yep, im sort of assuming that will be the case.... until i hear otherwise, better to assume the worse (although 18 cons isnt to bad lol)

another thought.... and one i would assume would be a YES...

does team chemistry affect Intelligence in the case of MLB reading the play?

And experience should definitely help, as well! I know we've been told before that INT is important for a few key positions, but this is the first time it's been confirmed that one player's skill influences how the rest of the team plays.
