O-Line + positioning

Offensive lineman and positioning seems to me to be totally underrated here compared to the real world scenario. Now I know this is a simulation, but I would have thought apart from strength agility blocking and footwork, positioning would be right up there as a need for O-line.

The grease monkey script rates tackling higher than positioning and as far as I'm concerned the only time an Offensive lineman needs to tackle is on special teams and interceptions and even than it ends up being the running backs or receivers that do that in real life anyway.

Just curious??

I train positioning pretty heavy. I aim to have all my linemen have 10 blocking, 10 footwork, and 10 positioning very soon.

Order of importance for my offensive lineman for me:
Strength
Blocking
Footwork
Agility
Intelligence
Stamina
Speed
Vision
Positioning

Thanks guys I'll just have to try my approach I guess and see where it takes me.

Freaks approach looks pretty good although I will rate positioning just above intelligence.

Also I don't include stamina on any skill list mainly because everyone seems to need it anyway and therefore a given.

I just surmised because I played (QB) and coach at an amateur level here in Australia and technique (positioning, footwork, vision etc) has always been high on my list as very often we have to deal with undersized players.

Not so sure about that huge gigantic gap. My O-line got MUCH better when I started focusing on footwork.

Not doubting that blocking and strength aren't important, and they're still the biggest 2 to me. I just know that for me, the footwork helped also. I'm just thinking that, while there's a gap down to footwork, it's not a huge one.

i do value footwork but not until the other 2 are rock solid. both of my OT have 7 footwork though which isnt bad
