What do you look for in a tight end?

6 foot 5, 290 pound, good blocker, nice hands,
clutch player, good motor, restless worker, aso.
hope that helps

Usain Bolt like speed wouldn't hurt either.

And Tyson Gay on the other side, Asafa Powell on the bench

With Bolt at TE and Gay at one WR, you can have Powell at the 2nd WR slot.

I think that would be the fastest WR tandem in the history of football.

Back on topic though, I think everything Piet Bringer mentioned would be good. For sure you want someone with good blocking and catching. Speed, strength, and footwork would be nice, as would consistency and possibly intelligence.

I think catching is the most important than speed and strength.

I think positioning might be important as well, as a TE you're often lodged in between DL and secondary and have to be able to get enough space to be open for a pass.

That is true, footwork is also important because the TE has to be able to run good routes in order to get open for a pass. Their really is no right way to train a TE, since we don't have any idea what a TE does in this game.

Yeah that's why I'm just kind of trying to train them to be like an O-lineman AND like a WR.

so.... is 17 speed, 17 strength, 18 consistency, 18 teamwork, 12 intelligence, and 4.5 talent a good start then? lol
