Enough about Favre already, he needs to retire before he does some SERIOUS damage to his bicep.

as i said before its his life let the guy play for as long as he wants plus he got that fixed so there shouldnt be any problems with that

Once no one wants him anymore he will retire for good

Brett Favre has stated he will give the Vikings his decision about playing or not by July 30, but many believe it could come as soon as this friday

Favre has been postponing the decisions for as much as he can. Weren't Vikings desperate, they would have called the end for it long time ago. From what I read Favre already requested, that he is able to make his own training schedulle. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be any more conditions put up.

On a personal note - I'm excited, that he goes to Vikings. The two games vs GB will be the two most fun games to watch in the regular season.

I've heard rumors that a deal is already in place and he plans on being for training camp, but that they just haven't made it official yet.

I wonder how much more valuable this will make AP in my keeper league.

Oh, pls don misunderstand this. I am a Favre fanatic! But I think going away from GB was the worst move he ever made.

I do too and also believe that it could be the worst move the Vikings could make. The whole Favre saga is completely alientating the Vikings team into two factions: those who want Favre and those who are sick of him. Remember the division he caused with the Jets? He had Jets players speaking out against him after the season, saying he wasn't a team player at all, say that he wasn't available to anyone and avoided everyone. He wasn't being a leader.

Now we have got several vikings players who texted Favre saying that they want him to play. This of course does not bode well in the confidence department for either Jackson, Rosenfels, and Booty. All 3 of them seem to be alienated by this. Rosenfels is clearly angry about it, Booty will have his #4 stripped away from him, and Jackson actually said he would seek a trade if they signed Favre.

He's taken a while to develop, but Jackson is the Vikings best chance for a future at QB. I don't like saying it, but he clearly has a lot of potential to be a great QB in this league. You might as well consider him gone if Favre signs.

Will the Vikings be more talented with Favre than with any of those 3 QBs? Probably. As most Super Bowl Champions know though, talent does not win football games, team chemistry does. The Cowboys arguably had the most talent in the NFL last season and were the super bowl favorites, but they didn't even make the playoffs. Sure they had the talent, but certainly didn't have the team chemistry.

If/when Favre joins it will be an upgrade in talent, but a severe downgrade in team chemistry. IMHO the Favre saga is the best story for the NFC North if your team is not named the Vikings.
