I've been reading a lot on here recently (I need the help pretty badly) and I keep seeing people saying that a player of theirs capped in something or other.

My question is, how can you know when a player is capped? Am I missing something?

To a cap a skill usually refers to the fact that a player's Strength or Speed cannot improve any more. The limits however are hidden. It's often a surprise for non-supporters when they train for 2 weeks and realize it was in vain because their player didn't increase his strength or speed.

Being able to see the caps is the one thing that unbalances the game in the favor of paying members. Not that I begrudge them that but I hate not knowing if my skills are capped or not.

That you can't see caps as non-supporter is the worst thing about GI IMHO

Well, nobody has bothered telling you that talent affect how high you can train in attributes besides speed, strength, and stamina. Stamina can always go to 20.

Is there a formula or at least a rough one for calculating maximum attributes off of talent and/or any other information directly given by the game interface?

If by that you mean how high a skill can go due to talent, yes, it's all in the FAQ at the top of the page under "Training FAQ", hence why I didn't bother mentioning it before, C.

So should I expect Strength and Speed to be increasing at least every 2 weeks? Or is that dependent upon my # of fitness coaches and my ownership or lack thereof of a training hall?

the way i understand this, is that talent has nothing to do with how fast your players increase in a certain skill.
So yes, you can make them increase faster, by building a trainings hall, a fitness center, or by upgrading your coaching staff.

Speed of fitness training depends on fitness coaches, fitness center and training hall. You may add up all these training points and determine the speed of fitness training for your needs.
(Teamwork/2 and base training points should be included as well.)

You may train fitness focusing on a single skill or all 3 of the skills, that also influences training speed.
