Hi all.

I signed a replacement Safety a few months back when I needed an emergency substitute for an injury. He had 28% energy when I bought him but I thought "oh well, I only need him for one game, then he can be rested." Since then though, he hasn't regained any energy at all. I've set him to work on fitness in the training schedule, but is there an option to rest a player altogether?

Alternatively, he's due to retire after this season, I may just cut him altogether..

Currently, the max % energy a player can gain during training is 6%. You're looking at a full season just to train him back up to 100%, and in the mean time costing precious training points to the rest of your team.

I would say just cut him since he is only dead weight, but if he is going to retire at the end of this season, you won't be able to cut him. Which means you get stuck with the extra salary all season.

Don't veterans not gain energy back as quickly or not at all? I have a guy on my team about 30 for several weeks and he has been at 98% energy since i have had him.

when training "average" it is a question of luck, because they can gain energy from nothing until +2 per week. Same for me here. But I did not see so far that this depends on age

Not being able to cut a retiring player? I'm with butch, it makes no sense at all..

i wasn't really talking about the retired player, but im sure you can cut whoever you want realistically

but the regaining energy part is more unrealistic

Can't cut them can't sell them. realistically . You wait and see how long it takes to get his energy up. Let's see you've been doing this for a week the stud's been doing it for nine months. Who should I believe ?
