So what is everyone doing so far? Has there been more success playing players at their "natural" position, even though they might be horrible at it, or moving players into positions based on skills?

I am going to try ignoring the suggested positions and train/play players based on skills. I have only played my first game today so I have no results yet. I'm getting killed though.

Good idea. Let us know how it works.

I'm buying all the players I want/need now, so I can start with a team that is young and has alot of potential. But I shall be playing the players in their natural positions until I find out whether changing positions works well or not.

Maybe I can define dilemma in the other way: Is it better to change positions according to the skills or to keep it as defined and to train what is needed???

BTW, it is strange that there is no more people discussing about this...

Players who play out of their natural position seem to get less stars regardless of their skills for this 'unnatural' position.

This is not a rugby. This is American football, which is different sport. Search a forum and help. There is already answer to your question.

Well, the basic questions is that nobody knows which skills/attributes are really important to which positions so far. As long as this question remains unsolved, you can't assign players into different positions efficiently based on skills.

I've done fine playing my players at positions that are "my fill in as " but I've stayed away from the positions "if really needed" and positions not listed. So far my team has done fine.

As expected we have a billion yards rushing but my OL is 2/7 for 89 yards and 2 TDs at QB (before the intelligence add)

This is most important question of the game. And I am totally uncertain about how anyone will figure it out. I wrote it already somewhere else, but I will repeat it here: It is totally necessary that game staff give us information about basic skills needed for a position. Without that we are rambling in the dark...
