ouch, just got passed for ~500yds in my last match.... any suggestions formation wise to lock down those passes? i'm running a basic 4-3 atm...

you didn't allow a touchdown for less than 50 yards. so i would guess that your defensive backs have poor tackling. is that correct?

I agree with the CB"s lack of skills, aside from poor tackling, they might be lacking in speed and position which I feel is important also. IMO

Also his opponents TE torched him, on the right side, which leads me to believe that he needs to change his LOLB (Rick Ellis). I'm pretty sure that the OLB's cover the TE's.

TE/R Agung Suhartanto burned you for 5 catches and 268 yards! Make sure you improve your LBO/L or put your best Linebackers on the outside. This is what I did to counter the Tight End problem....

Hope this helps a little.

i was under the impression that SS cover TE or is it just a pure zone?

OLB's get the TE's in my opinion.

SS aids run defence.

all the big pass plays have 2 missed tackles, so if he increases his team's tackling then he would not allow all those big plays. i would put that as his top priority.

i think that speed and positioning are the most important for coverage. but once the pass is complete, tackling is key.

one easy process would be to see who missed tackles on the TE's touchdowns. middle linebacker, left outside linebacker, left free safety, and left corner back.

none were involved in every time, so by my reasoning it isn't a man defense the defense is zone, and the missed tackles are the players with zones in which the TE went through.

would that make sense?

Indeed, that does make sense.

I have just had a lot more success with defending oppositions TE's since I put my best OLB's there. Coincidence, maybe.

not coincidence. you put you best players in the most attacked zones. makes a lot of sense.
