I suspect the initial reaction might be getting a bit overblown. I believe I was reacting too quickly in some cases. I think more time needs to be spent on evaluation on how to train new youth but just because a player has a blown out BMI isn't going to make him worthless. I do feel that I have some wasted training due to BMI. I mean, I maybe trained speed on a short lineman with 20 strength when as it turns out he needs to have a high BMI to utilize his strength so his speed may only count as 13 so I could have stopped training it at that point.

I think all teams will be working through handling these game improvements to some extent and so all teams will be impacted about the same in the beginning and it will probably take some seasons for owners to get their team aligned.

I'm just telling myself to not get too alarmed and work through these welcomed changes.

Excited for the game with these changes ...... whilst considering whether I can be bothered to continue with the game

It's simply bad timing, but having spent 2 seasons acquiring and training youths (who are now effectively useless due to height/weight for positions) can I be bothered going through all of that again so soon and before they've even played as a team? Probably not.

Hope that I'm the only one that feels like this because the game desperately needs upgrades to attract players. But for some it will come at a cost that may see them quit the game altogether.

I also think that these changes could make it even harder/almost impossible for a new team to compete with more established clubs within a reasonable time. How many seasons will a new player have to spend doing absolutely NOTHING but building facilities ? To build all facilities required (inc stadium) and find, buy then train a team full of youths on their physicals alone could take, at a guess, 4 seasons. That's almost 2 YEARS (and assuming they ALL reach the phys levels reqd)!! Add another 2 seasons to allow them to be trained to around 9's in relevant skills. How many new players would be willing to see that out for 3 Years ?

Really hope it all works out and maybe some of the suggestions players have made to help finance new teams could be implemented and bridge that gap that, in my opinion, has just been blown even wider.

.........about time with the upgrades though good job

Players are not useless. Only weight height ratio matters and that can be fixed with time.

I think most established teams will get the nutrition center but I don't think it is needed long term. So no extra facilities for new players. Just a temporary one for established players while term hey get term hey he house in order.

It also reduces training times as physical don't have to be trained/found as high as before and you have greater flexibility in training your players to get your core team up to speed skill wise with the training changes.

I feel big sides get hit a lot more with this (which is fair enough).

Can't wait for game 1 when people complain that that he running game was not boosted after going 50% ru with a 5 carry RB

I notice that some have some complaints about the changes ... I can not believe it, they are minimal and long awaited changes !!
Enjoy, work a little and now we know that the game is LIVE !!!

This may increase the usefulness of 3.5* talent guys in strength dominate positions. Hear me out.

Since say OL and DL we normally aim for 16/19 or 15/20 spd/str. For higher division teams we normally aim for 4.0* talents because is it easier to get to 19 for tackle/block/agility etc.

But now with the new system being put in place, aiming for 19 agility is useless. So more time/weeks can be use training tackle/block. I calculate that you can save 8-10 weeks of training by ignoring agility past 15/16. That is not including the chance factor for going +1/+2 above the soft cap etc. So probably more like 16-20 weeks.

So yeah a 3.5* talent struggles to get to 19 main skill. But you now have an extra 14-20 weeks to try for just one main skill, instead of two.

Just a theory. Thoughts?

The game rules are down the bottom of the page if you want to familiarize yourself with the rules so you don't get in the same trouble again.
