Okay, grasshopper, let me break it down for you. I have this QB that goes by the name of Phipps. He looks great on paper. I've seen him struggle, not only in the WC, but also in the TD. So now, here I am the coach of the NT. I'm in a pretty good position to qualify already, even though I botted the first match. Why not put in what appears to be the best QB on my roster and see what he can do against the current best team in the group? Well, there ya go and he came up short, mostly was disappointed with his completion percentage. I'm glad you find it odd, but I'm not too worried about that. Now I'm more inclined to stick with Crespo as the competition continues and the match ups expect to get tougher in the next round. I have 3 more matches that I will also be continuing to test things. Perhaps you will find that odd too.

footwork?

I always train footwork for my QB's.

It probably doesn't matter in GI, but I saw an interview with Troy Aikman once where he said that in his opinion, footwork was one of the most critical skills for a QB and I've trained footwork ever since.

That said, if there's one stat on Phipps that I think is lacking, it's his footwork.

i dont have the luxury of multiple high quality qbs but usually do my testing against what i believe are weaker sides thats all

What would that show you against weaker sides? Maybe it looks odd, but I prefer to test against the better teams that I know are going at me full strength. The WC format gives you the luxury to be able to do this in the first round qualifying matches. Honestly, my opinion on the overall game was there was some "GI" randomness going overboard in that match with 143 total points scored. So I have to wipe out both defenses and assume they were just both handicapped by this randomness on that day. It comes back to the completion percentage and the opposing QB managed about 60%, while Phipps was under 50%. I don't understand it, perhaps it is footwork or just another loss, AGAIN, for Phipps in a big game. Footwork is one of the 5 skills I always train for QB on my team

Here is the entire "stats" line on "MY" WC QB for the last game:

Allen Phipps 28 52 53.8 % 789 15.2 84

Did you mean skills or talent? I fail to see where this has been done

Feel free to test anything you want against my Portuguese lads. Like botting O and D, not starting a QB or running 90%...

Botting test already performed, please see game 1. Results/evaluation: Very poor/do not try again.

Crespo will get the start.

Running is not an option in GI

No one posted any stats, just that if it he were our QB, we'd develop footwork a bit more. Some managers disagree and don't think footwork is vital to a QB.
