Time to start a the UK's dynasty is over thread. No but seriously luck will always play a factor as it does in real life. You just notice it more when it goes against you. Weird results happen in sport, just think to Germany beating Brazil 7-1 (sure Germany are a better side but 7-1 is not a fair comparison) or the match that caused the famous Patriots thread to be started. All you can do is minimise the chances of a loss, you can't get rid of it and it will eventually happen.

Having already got through the group, the game is mostly academic, except that it means we play the winners of group A instead of the runners up of group C, I think.

Given that Kavanagh played on the right side and most of the passing attempts went to the left side with McKenzie and Leonard, we could have played a drunken slug there and it still wouldn't have affected the game.

Poland are a good team, and looking at it, they would have beaten us anyway. Even against our full team, they had the dice rolls and players to do the job easily. We might bump into them again in three matches though, and then it will be a different story maybe...
