i do have a bit of a worry with the 34 year old we added on dl. doesnt he have bad physicals now? same with watt and a couple others. with lowering physicals i find it hard to understand the additions.

A 34-year-old? you would think his strength is at 12, or almost there. Plus, he'll only get worse as the season goes on. We do have to take that into account.

Even if every skill is at 20, I'm worried. If the owner had the good sense not to be paying a DL 104K each week, and his skills are lower than 20, I guess the cupboard really is bare at DL.

I didn't look, but if he is on a bot team, then physicals don't decline.........at least that is my understanding.

Are we sure physicals don't decline? 90% sure?

PHI, maybe you can help us here. If his physicals were still decent, that tells us bot teams don't gain or lose training points.

They don't gain training points, that is 100% for sure. I believe, with relative certainty that they don't lose fitness/agility pts, but just go scout some 40 year olds with decent salary level, that will tell you. I would expect their fitness to all be 12 max if they do decline

Physicals for bot teams don't decline. At least I'm pretty sure they don't. So in theory, you actually WANT your nations best players to go on a bot team once they peak. That way the remain a beast and don't retire

So, if Hakers went bot, half our NT would be in peak condition until the end of time?

Well, I think this question can be laid to rest quite simply. PHI, does the 34 year old have physicals at 12? If not, we know that a player's physicals don't decline if he's on a bot team, or decline slower. If his physicals are still 20/20 or close to that, we can assume they don't decline at all.

At 34, they would be dropping at about a point every 3 weeks or so. I would imagine that would be pretty obvious on that player. This is my first season with a 31 year old and let me tell you, they drop about 13-15 pts per week in all four (speed, strength, agility and stamina. My beast DE will be struggling to make it by the end of the season

If you set your training to physicals, or even just to strength, do the gained points help offset the loss you see each week?

No, at 31 they don't get any training points, doesn't matter if you set them to. The get NONE. The first season, it says they lose 10-15 pts each training update, but I have tracked it and they have yet to hit 10, 11 or 12. It's 13 to 15 from each one, each week. So take Aagesen, he is already projected to be around 16-17 spd/17-18 str/ 16 agil and 14 stam by the end of the season. He was 19/20/18/16. When they turn 32, they lose more and 33, even more. I can't really imagine holding anyone, other than maybe a QB or K past age 32

Yes, until he relegated far enough to become a new team, and all his players would go to free agency or retire.

Case and point, see: Gone Fishin (aka San diego blitzkrieg)

I bet Danny Watt's physicals are still beast. I know Dennis Post's are low, because he was aged before he went bot
