How much can you affect the position ratings? And how fast does it change?

100%. You can change the position ratings to whatever you like. Ofcourse, this will take time.

If the player has a low positional rating, it will not take long. However, if the player has many stars at their natural position, you are talking around half a season.

The coaches comments state if the player is good elsewhere. It may pay not to look at it.

Do you know how the coaches calculate these "may step in positions"? Is there really no sense behind?

well the initial generated positions are random. after that it goes by positional rating which can be influnced by games played

I've had players change after one game and othes take half a season.

Is the players position you are trying to switch them to listed under coaches comments as "Can also Play"?

If a player does not play in his natural position, does he receive a malus ?

Not completely sure what you mean, but I'm thinking you're asking if they're penalized at that position if they don't play there?

If so, then no. The only rating that changes is the one for the position they played.

For example, if he went into the game at 3 stars at QB and 1.5 at HB, and you played him at RB, he would stay 3 stars at QB. There would be a chance that he goes up at RB though.

If that wasn't what you were asking, sorry. Someone else will have to help you then.

Indeed, that is not exactly what I asked but I certainly did not tell it right.

I wanted to know if a player does not play at his natural position, will he play less well than if he was playing at his natural position ?
For exemple, Simon's natural position is OL but he's going to play WR, so will he play less well than if his natural position was WR ?
Actually, the question is : does the natural position influence the performance of a player in good or in bad during the game ?

I hope this time it's clear enough
