After 3 cycles with a defense not complete to my standard, I had seen alot of game go the way of missed tackles after good offensive drives. So I understand the frustrations you just had.

On a positive note the offense went bananas. All recievers did their job and John Anderson I think proved his worth leading the recieving corp with most receiving yards, average yards per reception and longest reception.

Another positive note, we have now pasted Portugal in the rankings. We past Finland in the rankings in the qualifying stage. Teams still ahead of us:-

67 points behind Romania (still collecting points though).
180 behind Norway.
215 behind Austria (still collecting points though).
451 behind Czech Rep.

I saw that Serbia have a wrecking ball of a WR called Sipka who has been busting tackles lately, so I duly adjusted by flipping out Betts to the right. Into the third quarter, and he's been quiet so hopefully this continues. Currently an important 2 TDs up against Serbia, but they've got possession.

Great job coach!!!

Man we won that well, but could've had them on the rope alot earlier if 1st long return didn't end up in a missed FG and the interception after the interception. 10-14 points gone begging. Was thinking to myself, "Oh no, here we go again." But the second quarter was the complete opposite and that was it from there.

I'm pretty happy with the teams effort and coaching. Nearly had 3 wins, only loss in OT, and against the 3rd, 6th and 7th ranks nations.

Well I'm pretty pleased how things have gone obviously. Glad we kept Šipka quiet. He didn't have the best of games in the two WC games before playing us, but he was ripping teams apart (including the very fancied France) during qualifying. The only two broken tackle scores were from the opposite side, so Michael Betts and his stubby little legs really kept him quiet (5 receptions for 61 and no score!).

I still have no idea why we keep missing easy field goals. Our mates across the Tasman may have missed out by a couple of points on moving to the next round, but they certainly know how to ping field goals. 4 in their last game alone! Either way, even if it is some obscure skill we hadn't thought of, we can't do much about it as Mason is on a bot team.

He has kicked 88% at international level. So just unlucky to have 2 misses in consecutive games. Before yesterday, he was 22 from 23. And yesterdays miss would've been un noticed if the defense was playing so bad and relied on the kick to prevent overtime.

some player IDs if our national team needs them not from my team I don't have any one ready yet.

458096 - good find

1160565 - i'm think of hitting the bid button on this one, but he'll never be a NT player then as i wont have a 18+ skill kicker on my team

532796 - came up yesterday in the future players thread

480944 (project racings guy) - was in the team for a few cycles, better talent out there

466417 (projects guy again) - no go, more players out there with better talent and physicals

523127 (bit of a low rating hi speed and strength though) - is his pos rating maxed out?

im not sure if any of these are up to the National team level or if you guys already are aware of these players just trying to help. where ever I can I have the scouting report for jacob groom as well

keep 'em coming. sure some will get shot down. but you never know what gems you might unearth.

chuck 'em in the futre player thread so all this talk isn't spread across multiple threads.

you can also bookmark these players using the paperclip next to the player name and player id so you can find them easily at a later date.

will do I'll look for some more soon
