As a division five team I am raising my player skills (after fitness) to level 10.

However is it best that I raise the main skill to 10 then any secondary or tertiary skills to 10 or raise them all in sync?

Many thanks

Dont raise them one at a time, figure out what overall level you want him to be by the end of the season, say a CB you want 10 pos/vis/tack/agi, then go to the season goal with the most important skill first and then procede.. That way you get balanced players that are playing really strong, but alot cheaper than if you just trained one main skill

And always doublecheck if you should train general or focused. If you for example want to use your CB as STCB too, then train general on defensive skills, but if you want a focused approach, train focused. Especially on offense since it looks like WR/TE don't need carrying, footwork and passing (they never fumble).

If I was to acquire a young player who I fancied as a linebacker, my first move would be to train speed and strength until they cap, hopefully both at 17+.

Then I would get tackling, agility, vision, positioning, footwork, and catching to 7. For me, 10 is too high. By the time you've done this, even with the top coaches and training facilities, he'll be about 20 years old, and have a good BPOS, maybe 5* even. Players like this can hold their own in division 3 easily, and are, in my opinion, superior to similar players with one single skill on 10 or more.

Once you're poised to make a real charge up the leagues, and have a good stash of money, then you can go for it, training one or two skills into the tens and teens. But rounded, many-skilled players are so much better value.

So the formula should be:

Best skill level = (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOrgLj9lOwk)+4

When trying to find caps for speed and strength, I focus on 1 or the other, until it caps or reaches 19. I then switch to the other until it caps or hits 20. If I changed off of 19 for the first, I then go back and see if it will go to 20. Sometimes, while training the 2nd skill, the 19 will increase to 20 anyway. I then worry about stamina after I have my other skills at one of my stopping points. I don't ever take stamina to 20 because of the "visual" bug.

thanks, being new and having bad players, no money, couldn't find any good friendlies, just 1, plus didn't realize that you had to redo the sponsors each week. ,,,,, with hardly a stadium built, and most of time in the red, is it better to just keep a min roster, play players on both sides of the ball, , so the wages won't be so high, and after getting the vip seats n such built, then do a fitness center , start worrying about taking to the big caps?
