in my opinion the only thing the youth academy does is cost weekly maintenance.
you get to see 1 of the fitness skills of the 2 possible youth pulls, but you still have no idea on talent, etc....
in my opinion nothing but a waste of money. that's why i haven't gotten one all this time....

I like having a Level 1 youth academy. Having three players to choose from instead of two, and being able to see their speed allows me to choose the youngest, then fastest player. But, I would only recommend buying it after all other upgrades are taken care of.

I used to choose my players by age. Then after I got my youth academy, I would choose the one with the highest Spd/Str combination. What I ususally ended up with was either a young player with low talent or a player with decent spd/str with low talent. Neither are worth having. Now, I literally flip coins to narrow it down to one player and choose that player. I think I've ended up with more 3.5* plus talents in the last couple of months than I've had in nearly the entire rest of the time I've been playing.

If only there were a way for our recruiting team to find out the talent.........I'd love to see the NFL draft players in this manner. Here is the speed, strength, agility and stamina, but we have no idea if they can actually PLAY football........"and the first pick in the 2011 draft is, Ben Dover, 5'-7" and 140lbs, 1.5* talent, 2 intelligence and 1 consistency".........thanks, sucker....next!
