Recently i asked about talent.

Now i want your opinions about importance of consistency.
I have a few guys with good talent but low consistency, what positions should i use them?
Of course not QB, for example ive got a 16 yrs old 4* but 4 consistency too talented to use him as a DL or OL

no such thing as too talented. high consistency i prefer in profile positions so to speak. QB, LB, WR, CB and SF but all positions would be good. low Con i use in other areas OL, DL mostly im not sure its as important as made out but i still errr on the side of caution.

I dont really care about cons - adds some spice IMO My old starter (still better for the first half of the season) has 2 cons, so Im getting to do a little experimenting on that part, so far its been pretty easy to predict his rolls, even though there is an irregularity when it comes to cup games - looking forward to some more research..

I would say if you are going for a 18+ main skill lvl, then prob. get 20 cons (although I dont think its calculated like that, but w/e) - just the be on the safe side, would suck if he could only get the low rolls..

From the FAQ:

9. What is player's consistency?
If the player has 20 consistency, then the player will always play as good as he can. His match starting rating will only be affected by his fitness level and team chemistry. However, the lower the consistency value, the higher the chance the player will perform either better or worse than he is usually able to. Don't worry though, the player cannot play 2 times worse as he is able to, because his game rating can be affected by consistency for maximum 20% (gain or loss). Simply put, player with consistency 20 will always play at his full ability (given fitness and team chemistry permit it), while the performance of the player with consistency 1 will vary randomly from -20% to +20% of his basic performance rating in each game.

just so i understand this right i have 2 QB whit all the same skill same talent same BPOS and on and on but the only different is consistency one whit 20 and one whit 1 lets say the best ability is 10* so the QB whit the 20 consistency will always play 10* but the QB whit 1 consistency can play randomly from 12*-8* is this right?

amazing. I always thought it was, using your analogy, that a player with 20 con always plays at 10*, but a player with 1 con plays between 8* and 10*. In a way then, lower consistency can make your team better, on any given sunday...

What about a player who's got 20* ability (someone with 4.5 or 5* talent), but only 1 consistency. Does that mean his ability will range from 18* to 22*, or 18* to 20*?
