So does anyone differentiate how they build players if they play center vs guard vs tackle? Left vs right? If so, why? I know in real football it matters, but what about this sim?

Guards is the standard OL for me. I place my fastest OLs at tackle and my most intelligent at center. In my last match (and others before that) my center have managed to reached a 5.0 star start match rating, so I think that intelligence might have some effect.

I do the same thing (speed at the tackles, intelligence at center, and strength for the guards). I also put my higher talented players at tackle, then center, then guard, since I suspect the position importance is similar. But I seem to remember that there isn't as much differentiation in the positions with the game engine as there is in real life, although that may change next season.

For example, the OL/Tackle doesn't have the same amount of primary skills than OL/Center

I'd interpret that to mean that a Center has the same characteristics as a Tackle, but with Intelligence added. Is that the general consensus?

We don't know. It could be that they both got the same skills with the tackle need one more skill. The intelligence is just something I have been doing, since I joined the game as it makes sense.

absolutely. also the punters need a high catching so they can catch the snap. DL's need blocking so they can block the pass attempts at the line of scrimmage. and the QB needs a high Carrying skill so he can Carry his team to victory.

it makes sense.. right?

why do you guys put the faster guys on tackle?
Could you also not argue that pulling guards would need more speed?

(i know there probably is no pulling in GI)
