It is true that to be the strongest team, you should play your strongest players regardless of age. But, if you are in the lower divisions and playing bots, the drop off between an old guy and a new one doesn't have that much impact of the outcome of the game. So, you might as well give the BPOS points, experience, and team chemistry to a young guy that will be around for a while.
