Just wondering what positions I should put my LB's in. At the moment I have 3 MLB's, but should I only have 1 MLB and 2 OLB's?
When I put 3 MLB's in, the formation looks like a proper 4-3 D. but when I tried putting in 2 OLB's, they look more like 3-4 edge rushers.

I prefer 1xMLB + 2xOLB, since at the moment the match engine favours passing.

there's no right or wrong in this case. personally i play the 3-4 with to MLBs and 2 OLBs. so whatever works best for your team is what you should go with. just be sure to put your smartest LB at MLB cuz you want your defensive play caller to be as intelligent as possible. it's his decision weather to play against the pass or run at any given down.

If you have 2 good mlbs and an olb it will be a better option to play 4 -3 with 2 guys at 'mlb' and one at 'olb'
The 2nd mlb goes outside
If you play 3 mlbs M R L is the way they line up

The diagram on your defence orders is just that, a visual diagram. It is not actually the exact position they line up on in play.
