I'm not sure if this is in the "Rookies" sticky, and i think it is about commonsense however i will ask this question anyways...

I have a player on 28 yrs old player on 89% energy, and after training on average every week, he just seems to take soo long to rebuild energy. He was on 83% when i bought him midseason. Another guy 25 who is on 98% and was last week as well.
If i rest these players from my friendly on Monday night, will they recover quicker than they would if i played them.
In saying this, does it also apply to league matches and regional cup matches etc...

Whether or not the players play in a game has no affect on energy. It's how hard you train the players that determines it. If you train on average, each player will gain back 0 to 2 percent energy each week. It can seem like a slow process sometimes. If you're in a hurry to get their energy higher, you can train on low for a week or two. You gain back 3 to 6 percent energy then, but lose 2 training pts which is negligible. If the lowest player is at 89% though, I wouldn't worry too much about it and just continue training on average.

If you have training set on average, energy will raise 0-2% per week.

Perviously I've had aguy that didn't increase his energy for 3 week straight.

For the guy on 98%, you'll just have to wait.

For the guy on 89%, if you pick the option to rest all players under 90%, he will gain 10-12% energy in one week. (But of course he'll get no training points that week).

When you are just starting out without coaches, fitness center, or training hall, it's not a terrible idea to train on max once, then train on low or average until all of your players are back near 100%. You will get a very, very slight boost to training this way if you don't mind the injury risk.

It's really not worth it, any way you slice it. A couple pts out of 100, then broken up into the percentages you are training, whether "all skills" or "focus on" is ridiculously low for the energy loss and potential injuries to new clubs. Average is where it should be at all times, most especially for new clubs

I agree. Why train high, and then train low. Might as well just stay in the middle.

Cool. i didnt know that using the "rest players below" was going to influence the recover that much or quicker if i just didnt play them. i didnt play the guy at 89% today hoping to get his recovery quicker.
but thanks i will try that.

Playing them or not playing them has no effect on energy or the recovery of energy.
