Why all the fuss? Anyone who took the time to read the rules and take a good look round the game would know how wages are calculated and that they increase exponentially based on highest skill (apart from the excluded skills). It is also very clear WHEN they increase! Now you can argue that the way that works may not be fair but to argue this is something new is nuts! I have been playing for six weeks or so and figured all this out by myself simply by reading the rules plus this forum! Not rocket science!!!!

bye then. personally like all users to stay, but we don't need users carrying on like children. none of those posts were directed personally at you, and you still take offence and everything that is said. why the anger issues?

skills can go up 8 points per season with high teamwork/coaches/training hall. so by looking at the 1st post, you can calculate what wages are on your own. wages can jump massively as the are only calculated in the offseason, but managers can then train skiils up by 8 points per season.

so at the start of the season, a OL player with 2 blocking, that ends the season with 10 blocking will jump from $800 est to $9000 est wages in one season. ouch!Last edited on 2010-10-17 at 1:27

those wage stats have been in the game breakthrough thread in this section for over a year, RS has just pointed out that the information is available for almost every rookie question if you look for it, not that we mind answering questions but it is nice to see a new person put the effort in their selves, i see no personal dig at you BFS please chill out and have a

Actually, I think the salary system needs to change. Players can now go from a mediocre, low salary player to an elite, low salary player at the end of a season to an elite, high salary player after the season flip. A wise manager (wise enough to win the iron bowl), can train up players and sell/cut them before the season flip and never pay the high wages. I think this is fair for manager to use/abuse, but its definitely not realistic or good for the game.

I could pay the wages for seasons if I needed to do so... have 54M on the bank, made 26M profit this season, so if my wages would go to 2M (1.2 more than they are now), I would still about break even if I didn't sell 10 starters. I just sold them to get a new challenge...

Yeah, but your situation is unique. There are a lot of teams, myself included, that train up players for a single season and then dump them at higher wages. I guess its a strategy of sorts, but I think the wage system should probably adjust so that this isn't a good option. IMHO.

hi folks

just a quick warning about wages.
the wage increase will be happening soon during the off-season and can be quite a dramatic jump.

For those of you that aren't aware the pay scale is based on single high positional skills (i.e all skills not including spd, str, stam)
It follows this rough scale;

Skill Weekly Wage
1 ------500
2 ------800
3 ------900
4 ------1300
5 ------2400
6 ------2700
7 ------3200
8 ------4800
9 ------6600
10 -----9000
11 -----13000
12 -----17100
13 -----22300
14 -----28900
15 -----37300
16 -----46800
17 -----57800
18 -----70600
19 -----85400
20 -----102200

please be aware of this increase as i've noticed a few new teams bidding on high skilled players on the transfer market, the wage that shows now, will not be the wage you'll be paying next season.

for example, there's currently a guy with 18 tackling on sale, his wage is currently listed as 23k a week, but will in fact jump to 70-75 next season.
this can be cripling for a new team, please exercise a little caution

Thanks for this warning.. i nearly got lumped with some large wages

Cause i bought this guy and he decreased in salary from 5,400 to now 4,600
