I realise we have quite a few weeks left until the end of GI's first season (which I am very much enjoying by the way!), but I was wondering if we could get an admin answer for a question or 2 to help us plan.

So on the note of an "off season"..
Will there be one? (I understand if you have no idea how long it will be yet, but is some down time planned?)

And assuming that there will be one..
Will wages/maintenance/training/youth pulls/etc be frozen during it?
Will construction be frozen, continue as normal, or be accelerated? (By which I mean, an off season will simulate the 7-8 months between football seasons so will we be able to build things and have them complete before the next season begins without having to wait the 15 real days that it normally takes?)

Any information gratefully received as I beat my "Master Plan" Excel spreadsheet into shape

We trying like hell NOT to complicate and make this game as fun, not to difficult and enjoyable as we can.

League and off-season take 20 weeks, this means that you have 2 (two) weaks off-season. This is probably a very long period for you guys and very short for us to implement new improvements.

In off-season period everything is quite regular, normal. Income, costs, construction, youth etc and 14 days is just enough to build what you want if you can afford it.


We hope this will satisfy your Karma and your master game spreadsheet plan will get the correct data.

Hehe! That's great, thanks for the answers. I'm loving the game so far and the approach you have to it's development so keep up the good work!

This is actually quite important, as presumably there will be no game income for those 2 weeks (even friendlies?) so if you rely on home game income (both season and friendly) on top of sponsorship to cover your wage bill/maintenance you're going to be losing money over those 2 weeks and need to make sure you keep enough in reserve.
This is just why I have my spreadsheet
(That and I'm a software dev and by nature we're very anal and all about the calculations!)
