My team is new and I don't have great players at any positions or real weaknesses other than overall.

Should I just be picking the youngest youth players or is there some other criteria I should be using.

I use age then position, since their actual abilities aren't determined by age or position, at least if he's young he can be trained to be better given they both have the same chances of having all stats including talent and teamwork.

Just like the draft, the youth pull is all about chance and how good you are at building your young players.
